What
is Team in Training?
Team in Training is a comprehensive endurance-training program for fund raising
volunteers to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The goal of Team in
Training is to increase funding to support the Society’s mission while
promoting fitness and healthy lifestyles. Participation in Team in Training represents
not only an incredible commitment to yourself to complete an endurance event,
but also to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in the search for a cure for
leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. We invite you to join
our Team and train for any of this season’s events.
Team in Training is first and foremost a fund raising program. The program’s
primary objective is to raise money so researchers will find a cure for leukemia,
lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
is committed to keeping expenses below 25%, so that 75% of all funds raised go
directly to research and patient services.
Team in Training is the world’s largest and most successful endurance training
program.
Our endurance training provides teams of dedicated novice and veteran athletes
with:
| · A
3 to 5 month integrated training program |
| · Professional
coaches and experienced mentors |
| · Flexible
training schedules and weekend workouts |
· Optional
clinics on nutrition, equipment, injury prevention,
sports psychology, form, and technique |
As
you train, you and your teammates will meet local patients who face
even greater challenges. Your efforts help bring their fight against
these deadly diseases one step closer to an end.
