| Did someone say Phoenix would be warm? It was below zero at the
start, as we froze our buns off waiting to run. The half-marathoners
started a little later, and some crafty ladies are rumored to have
taken advantage of the free clothing dropped by the marathoners before
them. It soon warmed up, though, and skies were sunny as we made
our way through Phoenix, Tempe and Scottsdale. As always, we received
lots of cheers and support from fellow TNTers and, hey, with a rock
band every mile, who wouldn't be spurned on to the finish line? With
the cool temperature and flat course, some P.B.s were set, and we
suffered very few casualties (it's called a Rock 'n' Roll marathon,
Lisa, not a Drop 'n' Roll marathon). All in all, it was another great
Team in Training event. |
